J.D. McArthur opened the first location of McArthur Tire in Owen Sound, Ontario in 1952. He began one of the most up to date tire shops north of Toronto specializing in excellent product and friendly reliable customer service. For 55 years McArthur Tire has been superior in leading industry standards in product and service for its broad customer base. Now under the leadership of Mr. Jim Stewart and McArthur’s daughter Mary Catherine the business continues to uphold and operate under its founding principles. The company’s new wave of development has moved forward under the direction of CEO Jim Stewart who has been with McArthur Tire for 34 years now. Jim is a “tire-man” at heart and a leader in high quality customer service. He continually provides this company with new ideas and innovative approaches to the future for both his employees and clientele, developing locations now in Guelph, Waterloo and Orillia with the total of 5 locations serving Ontario including Hanover and head office in Owen Sound.
